Nursing home living can be a pleasant experience, or an uncomfortable one, depending on the quality of the nursing home chosen for you or a loved one. Many nursing homes are for profit business, meaning there are incentives to cutting costs in an effort to boost profits. More than half of the nursing homes in the US are businesses designed to make money, although many of them are very well maintained, some are not, so it's important to get help from someone with knowledge and experience in health and housing for elderly when deciding on a nursing home.
