Rehabilitation is one of the main reasons elderly people go into nursing home living. Often times, a surgery, chemical treatment or other form of hospital procedure can have long lasting effects, and requires the elderly patient take many months to recover properly. Additionally, as we age, our ability to heal is drastically reduced, and we require much longer periods of time to recover and rehabilitate from even moderately invasive procedures.
