I want to make a complaint about nursing home neglect to the facility in which my aunt resides. Do I need a lawyer?

You are not alone in that many family members are concerned that if they make a complaint while their relative is still in the home, the staff may retaliate against their relative.  My advice would be to start now to look for another nursing home to move her to so that you do not have to be concerned for her safety.  These concerns should also be expressed to the licensing agency—they may be able to help safeguard your aunt.
